Our Friendly Code of Conduct

Your safety and that of your guests is of the utmost importance to us.

We're thrilled to host you at our beautiful lakefront property. We aim to ensure that every guest has a memorable stay. To achieve this and ensure our shared environment's safety and tranquillity, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following code of conduct.

Please Respect our Neighbors

  • Keep noise to a minimum, especially between 10 PM and 7 AM. Remember, noise on the lake can travel a long distance.

  • Do not enter onto neighbouring properties unless invited.

Safety First

  • Please, no boating or kids in the water after dark.

  • Children must be supervised at all times, especially near the water.

  • With our sensitive ecosystem, no fires are permitted.

  • Store lifejackets and other safety equipment in their proper place after use.

Preserve the Environment

  • Do not throw trash or any other items into the lake.

  • Use the provided recycling and composting bins correctly.

  • Avoid using soaps or detergents directly in the lake.

  • Respect wildlife and maintain a safe distance.

Personal Items

  • Take care of your things. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Check thoroughly for personal belongings before departing.

  • For god’s sake, take your chargers — we know they are often the same colour as the wall, but you’ll need them.

Property Care

  • Report any damages or malfunctions immediately.

  • Use appliances and amenities for their intended purposes only.

  • Ensure the property is locked and secure when leaving.

  • Dispose of trash in the designated areas before checking out.

Pets

  • Only bring pets if they have been pre-approved.

  • Clean up after your pets, like a lot.

  • Ensure pets do not disturb wildlife or neighbours.

  • Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds.

Departure

  • Please leave the property in the same condition you found it.

  • Ensure dishes are cleaned or in the dishwasher and furniture is in its original place, including the deck.

  • Be respectful of our cleaning staff and the next guests. Follow the provided checkout procedure.

    Parking & Vehicles

    • Park only in designated areas and avoid blocking access paths.

    • Respect the speed limits in the vicinity, as there are many children, especially in the summer.

    • Although this is a safe neighbourhood, lock your vehicles!

Water Safety

  • Emergency Numbers: Familiarize yourself with local emergency numbers.

  • First Aid Kit: The kit is in the washroom cupboard by the front door. Check when you arrive. Always know where the first aid kit is located.

  • Slippery When Wet: The ground and deck can become slippery, especially after rain or morning dew. Always tread carefully.

  • Supervise Children: If you have children or teens, this is the most part: NEVER TO BE UNSUPREVISED. If you need to use the facilities or get snacks, have them get out of the water on the land side of the dock.

  • Environment: Our lake warms up to a comfortable temperature for great swimming in the summer months, but the risk of hyperemia increases in the off-season, as does the risk of heat stroke in summer.

MOST IMPORTANT

  • Life Jackets: Always wear life jackets when participating in water activities outside the dock. That includes kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, or any pleasure craft, regardless of your swimming ability.

  • No Swimming Alone if under 18: Never swim alone. Use the buddy system and always tell someone when you're going into the water.

  • Supervise Children: If you have children or teens, this is the most part: NEVER TO BE UNSUPREVISED on the lake. If you need to use the facilities or get snacks, have them get out of the water and onto the land side of the dock. This includes the hot tub.

  • Alcohol, Drugs and Water: Refrain from consuming alcohol or substances if you plan to enter the water. Alcohol impairs judgment and reflexes and puts lives at risk, just like the road.

  • Boating: If heading out on the lake on a watercraft, ensure you know its operations and adhere to all local boating regulations and guidelines.

    • Observe local boating regulations and speed limits. We can not stress enough — that there are active checks by our local enforcement on the lake.

    • Boating without a proper boating or fishing license is just irresponsible and illegal. If you rent from the marina, you can get a temporary day license, but we highly recommend you get your boating license. This can be done online.
